Na How Much Privacy Notice

Last updated: 12 September 2026

This notice explains how Na How Much handles information when you use our website or mobile app.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Na How Much, we may collect your account email, public username, basic Google profile information when you choose Google sign-in, price reports and timestamps, store links, selected or approximate location information, business listing details, seller feedback, photos you choose to upload, notification device tokens, first-party usage events such as searches and listing opens, and technical error information.

Google sign-in and Google user data

If you choose Continue with Google, Google provides basic account information such as your email address, name and profile image to our authentication provider, Supabase, so you can create or access your Na How Much account. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts or other sensitive Google services. We use Google sign-in data only for authentication, account management and security.

AI-assisted price report parsing

When AI-assisted parsing is available, text you submit in a price report may be sent from our server to Google Gemini to help structure details such as the item, price, quantity and location context. We preserve the original report text and separate it from AI-derived structured fields. Do not include passwords, bank details or other unnecessary sensitive information in a price report.

Community Programme and feedback

If you choose to volunteer with the Na How Much Community, we may collect the details you provide, such as your name, contact email, Google Play email address for Android testing, WhatsApp or phone number, city or area, volunteer preference, and the market or area you can cover. If you send feedback, we collect where you used Na How Much, the feedback you write, and an email address only if you choose to provide one for follow-up. These forms are submitted directly to our Supabase backend. We use this information to organise the Community Programme, manage testing and price-collection volunteers, understand feedback, contact you where appropriate and improve Na How Much. To reduce automated abuse, the submission service may temporarily keep a one-way hashed request fingerprint; raw IP addresses are not stored in the Community application or feedback tables.

Why we use information

We use information to provide sign-in, show price comparisons, process and moderate reports and business listings, preserve price history, prevent abuse, send reminders you choose, measure whether searches and listings are useful, provide account export/deletion controls and diagnose technical problems.

Public information

Approved prices, public usernames, general areas and public business listing details may be shown in the app. Business owners choose which shop address, website, phone or WhatsApp details and listing photos they publish. Account email addresses, authentication secrets, push tokens and private price evidence are not shown to other users.

Location, microphone, photos and notifications

You can allow the app to suggest your location or enter it yourself. The app requests device location only when you choose to use that feature. Microphone access is requested only when you start voice price entry. Photo or camera access is requested only when you choose to add price evidence or a business listing image. Notification permission is requested only when you enable mobile reminders.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate Na How Much. These include Supabase for authentication, database and server functions; Google for Google sign-in and Gemini when AI-assisted parsing is used; Expo for mobile build and push-notification services; Resend for authentication email delivery; Netlify for the public web app; and Cloudflare for domain, DNS and email-routing services. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

Price history and retention

Dated price observations may be retained to preserve useful market history. New prices do not replace earlier observations. Historical observations keep source and timestamp information. We retain operational information only as needed to run, secure and improve the service or meet applicable obligations.

Account deletion

You can initiate account deletion inside Na How Much or use our public account deletion page. Deleting an account removes the login, profile and private account-owned information. Historical price observations may remain without your account identity so past market prices remain useful. Unnecessary personal details are removed from retained historical records.

Your choices

You can choose whether to use Google sign-in, device location, voice entry, optional photos and push reminders. You can change reminder settings, export your account data and initiate account deletion from your profile.

Security

We use authenticated access controls, encrypted HTTPS connections and server-side permission rules to protect account information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and protect access to your email and Google account.
